Professor Kathy Pain awarded fellowship to Academy of Social Sciences

This significant achievement recognises the contribution Professor Pain has made to social science.

We are delighted to announce that Professor Kathy Pain from the department of Real Estate and Planning has been awarded a fellowship at the Academy of Social Sciences. This significant achievement recognises her contribution to social science.

Professor Pain who holds a Chair in Real Estate Development, focuses on research into sustainable city and regional development, governance and planning under conditions of contemporary globalisation. Her research innovatively links social sciences concepts and theories to quantitative and qualitative data that shed light on dynamics relevant for private and public sector end-users.

As a fellow, she will be a part of a community of leading professionals in the social sciences, working with academics and practitioners drawn from other sectors.

The Academy of Social Sciences aims to enhance and safeguard the social sciences in research, professional practice, and education; and to champion and foster the understanding and application of social sciences in policy, 91视频地址下载and public life.

Professor Kathy Pain, Professor of Real Estate, said:
